Vintage cards

I have been loving playing and inking my projects, creating a very vintage feel. Smudging ink over the vintage wallpaper embossing folder really gives the card more dimention. Even the tag and DSP got smudged with soft suede ink. I have also used the Very Vintage wheel, Winter Post and Perfect Punches sets.

This card was made using all my scraps. The Seasons of Joy set with a bit of smudging can even be make to look vintage. I use an old EK sucess punch and Tasteful trim Bigs XL Die.

The Style beautiful and Clearly for you sets definitely lend to the vintage look. with the crackly background and a bit of smudging my image blended with the paper. I also took the opportunity to use my spellbinder labels and 12" classic lace border die.

At our team training day we experimented with stamping with acrylic blocks. We inked up our blocks with a couple of colurs,( I used baja and craft), added a little shimmer paint with gladwrap, spritzed a little water and stamped. Once dry it gave a beautiful background for some more stamping. This card uses the Noteably Ornate set and the Elements of style rose.

Artistic Etchings is another great set. The Ornate circle is stamped in Frost white shimmer. The butterflies are from the beautiful wings embosslit die, sponged and shimmered.

This is my boss' farewell card, using the sale-a-bration Bliss set, Crackle background and lots of inking and Frost white Shimmer paint. It also uses a Tim Holtz die I borrowed from a friend.

Artistic Etchings and Notably Ornate sets. The crown was stamped in the Champange shimmer paint.

The Style beautiful set, has beautiful flouishes which are used in the background of this card. The Clearly for you set, used in the image is another beautiful set with 12 little images you can use for many different designs.
